TRAINING FOR ATHLETES

My Approach = Empowering You

introducing me

Hi! I'm Mo, a mover, creator, and dreamer from Cape May, New Jersey. I hold a BFA in Dance with minors in Music and Art Therapy from The University of the Arts. I've had the opportunity to work and perform with incredible educators such as Doug Varone, Robert Battle, Jesse Zaritt, Andrea Miller, Katie Swords Thurman, Annie Rigney, and Sidra Bell. In 2021, I became a certified Franklin Method educator, which deepened my love for embodiment, function, mobility, and the mind-body connection. To dive even deeper, I applied to and was accepted by Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, a prestigious university known for its excellence, to pursue my MSc in Dance Science.

While in London, I served as the Strength and Conditioning Support Coach at The Royal Ballet School, where I planned and delivered strength and conditioning sessions to 90 students aged 14-19. My role included physical screening, data input, and assisting with rehabilitation programs. I also serve on the board of The Bridge Dance Project, which strives to bridge the gap between the competitive dance world and dance science.

My coaching is student-centered, providing dancers (and all athletes) with the tools to improve themselves technically and mentally. By transforming instruction into a personal experience, I focus on moving beyond giving orders to fostering self-realization, allowing dancers to fully embody themselves. Drawing from a multidisciplinary background of previous experiences and current passions, I bring a unique perspective to every space I enter. With an approach that considers both psychological and physical aspects, I aim to motivate you in achieving your goals. Whether you want to enhance your mindset for athletic performance or seek personalized plans for strength, conditioning, flexibility, or mobility, I am here for you.

Morijah Thomas has helped my dance training in so many ways! She is incredibly successful in creating an environment around her students where they feel extremely safe & cared for. She is quick and efficient in hearing a students concern & preparing solutions to help them! As a whole, Morijah creates a positive learning environment & uses her knowledge to help students every single day! She is truly amazing!

The Mo.tivate training has helped me so much with not only flexibility but strength in my movements giving me better movement quality . I’ve found that it also has helped me not get injured easily and has given me better results than any over stretching I’ve done in the past.
